The title of the game is called Outer Monsters

It is a Stealth-Adventure game in which a inter-dimensional traveler who gets stranded on a planet has to collect mini black-hole like tokens and open a portal back home while monsters in the distance hunt him down.

This is a 3D Stealth-Adventure game. The player can jump and walk to/on platforms and collecting tokens is the goal of the game.

In the game, player can only run, jump and collect. The enemies can patrol, attack and follow the player whenever they get within a certain vicinity. The stealth aspect is when encountering the enemies as the players only option is to avoid the enemies without taking damage. Once the player can manage to escape within the enemies grasp, the enemies will dissipate. Each hit causes the player to lose 5 points out of 100 points in health. This doubles if the player is hit by the bigger enemies. The total amount the tokens the player can collect is 50. Once the player finds all 50, the player has won. There is no time limit.

The story of this game is that the player is an inter-dimensional traveler who discovers new planets on the horizon for research. They used black-hole like tokens to open a portal as a way of travel. One day an meteor shower occurs on a planet the player is currently on, destroying everything on it. The player is forced to retreat off the planet only to get hit in the process. The hit accidentally sends them to a new planet unfamiliar to them. As they are low on tokens, the player is forced to explore the planet. They soon discover that this planet is inhabited by lanky, blue-skinned aliens called Quarls. The Quarls are not open to strangers visiting due to a war on their planet 100 years ago, therefore have extreme anxiety. They have a patrol force that are ordered to hunt down any unwanted strangers and kill them. They are armed with purple space blasters. The forces have two helping adversaries: the Meerols and the Ferachiks. The Meerols are red, one eyed, ball-shaped aliens that follow anything it sees. The Ferachiks are a yellow and green, bird-frog hybrid that attack anyone once alerted of the their presence. There are multiple Quarls patrol officers deployed in different sections of the planet. They will shoot the player if seen by them. The player’s only way home is to collect 50 tokens without being seen.

The target audience for this game are ages 8 and up.

The only level in this game takes place within the patrol area on the planet.

Down below are images of the process of the game.

For the background, I wanted a atmosphere that looked alien, so I tried to come up with a

a look that gave the message that clearly says "this takes place on another planet." For the concept work for the enemies and collectables, I went with the stereotypical alien look for the Quarls, but tried something different for the Meerols and Ferachiks. I was not sure about the coins, I knew I wanted something that alluded to saving yourself, hence the heavenly look on one design. But it made sense to have a black-hole looking design since this happens on a different planet. Out of all three designs of the enemies, I really like how the Ferachiks came out, they are supposed to be very erratic in nature. The final back ground also came out very well.
